ABSTRACT:
This patch fixes a problem where a one line command from Quick Basic 4.5 or
MS PDS 7.1 would fail on Lantastic 4.0 under DR DOS because the double
slash which proceeded the Server name was not processed correctly.

Description:   This patch fixes a problem where a one line command from
Quick Basic 4.5 or MS PDS 7.1 would fail under Lantastic 4.0 because the
double slash which preceded the server name was not processed correctly.


ASSUMPTIONS:

1.  The file IBMDOS.304 is in the root directory of your C:\ drive.
2.  TaskMAX is not loaded.


INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

1.  Remove the attributes from the current working copy of IBMDOS.COM

        From the C prompt:
             Type: ATTRIB -RSH IBMDOS.COM
             Press <ENTER>

2.  Make a backup copy of IBMDOS.COM

             Type: COPY IBMDOS.COM C:\DRDOS\IBMDOS.OLD
             Press <ENTER>

3.  Replace the original IBMDOS.COM with the patched IBMDOS.304


             Type: COPY IBMDOS.304 IBMDOS.COM
             Press <ENTER>

4.  Verify the copied file is the correct size, date and checksum

             Type: CD \
        From the C prompt:
             Type: XDIR IBMDOS.COM /C
             Press <ENTER>

        The following message will display:

--a--- 39,239 11-29-91 3:04a 9D8C c:ibmdos.com

NOTE: In Archive attribute (a) may be set, however it is not a required
attribute.

5.  Replace the System, Hidden, Read-Only attributes on IBMDOS.COM

             Type: ATTRIB +RSH IBMDOS.COM
             Press <ENTER>

6.  Reboot the computer.
