ABSTRACT:

NT482PT2.EXE is a collection of client and printing patches for Novell Client
4.82 for Windows XP. The Novell Client 4.82 for Windows XP was discontinued on
May 1, 2003. We strongly recommend that you upgrade to the current version of
the Novell Client.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

== PRE-INSTALLATION NOTES ==

1. The Novell Client 4.82 for Windows XP was discontinued on May 1, 2003. We
strongly recommend that you upgrade to the current version of the Novell
Client.

2. If you are installing on a ZfD4 managed workstation, do not install the
NWGINA from this patch kit! Instead, delete NWGINA.DLL from the temporary
folder where this patch is unzipped before installing. See TID 10079069 for
more information.

== PATCH INSTALLATION ==

1. Expand the self-extracting file NT482PT2.EXE (this file) to a temporary
folder.
2. Open the folder.
3. Right-Click on _NT.INF and then click on INSTALL.

This will rename the existing files with a .482PT2 extension, and copy in the
new files. You will be prompted to reboot, as a reboot is necessary to enable
the files in this patch kit.


ISSUE: 

Some of the changes included in this patch are:
 
Fixed a problem with temporary Login files. (100272540)
 
When the machine is locked and Ctrl-Alt-Del is disabled, the machine may not
shut down properly. (274488)
 
Correct the timeout waiting for a good connection. (100267554)
 
NT username and password is being pre-populated in NetWare login when
AutoAdminQueryNDS is being invoked. (275520)
 
Change the location for Login temporary files. (261975)
 
NT credential tab disabled everywhere when AutoAdminQueryNDS was set.

Cosmetic fix for displaying the tree or context name. (286457)
 
Cannot browse alias containers in login screen. (257050)

Fixed a problem with Nwgina failing and Single Sign On. The problem occurred

Fixed a problem with corruption when using the Backup utility on Windows 2000.

Fixed problem with requiring a protocol preference to be set.
