NOVELL MAKES NO EXPLICIT OR IMPLIED CLAIMS TO THE VALIDITY OF THIS INFORMATION. ----------------------------------------------------------------- INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: To Apply NT Client Fixes: Extract NT430P2.EXE to a temporary directory on the NT boot drive and run UPDATE.CMD. The files NWMV.EXE & REBOOT.EXE are used for installing this update and can be deleted once UPDATE.CMD is run. Alternatively, the Application Object Template (AOT) file can be used to create an Application Object to distribute the NT Client fixes using the Z.E.N.works Application Launcher or Application Explorer. The SOURCE_PATH variable will need to be modified to properly reflect the source directory of the NT Client fixes. We suggest storing the fixes in a directory path below SYS:PUBLIC so that all users will have rights to the files. To Apply NT Install Fixes: Extract NT430P2.EXE to a temporary directory. Then copy the install fixes (ie *.inf files) located in the extracted \INSTALL subdirectory to the \i386\NLS\ENGLISH subdirectory. The install *.inf fixes will be used when executing SETUPNW.EXE. ISSUE: TID 2933230 - NT4.11 Client fails to run WinInstall from a NetWare server TID 2940125 - NDS Process Referrals to obtain closest replica TID 2933666 - NT: slow printing with Point and Print TID 2939557 - Clients can't connect to NT server TID 2943655 - Default profile, read-only being copied to the network TID 2939451 - NWGINA cause resolve against [Root] TID 2938678 - Dynamic Local User and Min Password length TID 2943658 - Disabling "Change Password" button on NT TID 2942039 - Local profile is newer than your roaming TID 2941828 - ShellFolder keys are wrong w/ Z.E.N.works policy TID 2941749 - Badly formed setup script command TID 2943434 - NT minimize login results hangs. TID 2927513 - NT Client starts shell regardless TID 2942946 - User printer prints 'letter' instead of 'A4' paper size NWFS.SYS Note: This file must be run with the NWSAP.SYS found in this patch. Version bumped to v4.40 in order to work with the latest Z.E.N.works NAL Get Nearest Application Server functionality (requires Z.E.N.works 1.01, NAL 2.6). NWSAP.SYS Changed to work with the latest Zen NAL Get Nearest Application Server functionality. NOVNPNT.DLL In the client, the WNetOpenEnum call turns around and calls NPAddConnection3 which pops up the login dialog. This breaks NT Services which cannot interact with the desktop. A bug was found in the Provider NOVNPNT.DLL where a WNetCancelConnection2 call is putting up an error dialog. That call is supposed to never interact with the user. These error dialogs cause NT services to halt because a service is not allowed to interact with the desktop. NWGINA.DLL If user name starts with "C" and is only 3 letters name would not resolve correctly VLMSUP.DLL Fixed problems with 16-bit Btrieve applications.
