Tid 10063454 If desktop has been authenticated to NetWare using bindery credentials, attempting to present the SAS unlock dialog causes the workstation to generate a 0xC000021A bugcheck because the WINLOGON.EXE process shuts down unexpectedly with a 0xC0000005 (access violation) status.

Cannot unlock NT workstation from local account if logged into domain.

Tid 10060720 Failing to log users on into NT domain when full distinguished NDS user object name specified.

Tid 10051891 Password change for incorrect local NT account attempted when NetWare password has expired

On NT laptops under the dialup tab all dial numbers are viewable. With the Microsoft client the numbers aren't viewable until after client is authenticated to the cached domain account. If we are logging in from GINA, the Phone number preview prompt and field are hidden and disabled.

Client resolves "Workstation not registered" during login

Tid 10027121 [no longer available] Checking the flag set by GINA that tells us the NetWare password has expired.

Password expiration does not kick in if NW and local password are different.

Tid 10057747 Added radio button to shutdown dialog: Shutdown and power off.

On Windows 2000, lock the workstation. Then, press ctrl-alt-del to unlock as instructed, but don't enter your password. If the computer sits for 3 minutes without any user intervention, the unlock credentials window closes and the window asking the user to press ctrl-alt-del to unlock opens again. Press ctrl-alt-del, enter password and unlock the workstation. At this point the desktop flashes briefly, then the machine shuts down. Anything not saved is lost.

Tid 10057736 After installation to a network drive of the drivers for a NetWare legacy queue, the .LZ files are zero bytes in length. All other associated files that are not LZW compressed (e.g. INF files) are normal size.

Tid 10056155 Workstation Manager re-distributes NDPS printer drivers although no change to configuration was made.

Client32 Changes

Tid 10060916 Windows 95 workstations hang after logging in and WM95SAST.EXE is in the Task List.

DOS application locking issue when the application and/or COMMAND.COM were running in UMB memory.

DA not discovered because SLP Provider only resolves DNS name for DA at initialization.

Tid 10061874 BSOD on 3.3 Client on IBM NetVista desktops after username and password are entered.

Tid 10058486 Workstation would hang intermittently when booting with a Promise Ultra66 disk controller. For some unknown reason this hang is related to setting the station time during initialization.

After receiving a TCP close from the server for a cluster migration, the client would immediately open a new TCP connection to the virtual IP address. However, the open went to the old server that was still in the process of migrating.

Proxy authentication using Java applet fails when NO default context is configured.

Workstation hangs during a file copy.

Tid 10062828 You could not browse DS (e.g., Network Neighborhood) after a cluster migration.

Custom COBOL application no longer able to print to PRN.

Tid 10060108 After upgrading from Client 2.2 -> 3.3 program unable to use UMB memory correctly.

Windows98 workstation was hang, when NCS1.01 abended.

Client 3.3 randomly looses connection to shared Cluster volume

Database corruption with First Resort Software

Tid 10063189 Accumulate up to 256 SLP referrals so that the client can make a connection to the lowest cost server.

A nested autoreconnect could occur when migrating a cluster. This would then cause a hang.

XCOPY.EXE not working with extended ASCII characters.

Standard client upgrade to the 3.2x or 3.3 clients with IP & IPX upon bootup the machines get a blue screen.

DA not discovered because SLP Provider only resolves DNS name for DA at initialization.

Novell Client installed it only sends a DNS request through one adapter.

Problem with not being able to locate a configured DNS Directory Agent from a Windows 98 laptop.

Machine displays a blue screen with a Page Fault error (0E) after reviving from suspend mode. There is an apparent incompatibility between the ePad driver and the Novell Client software.

Tid 10061488 WS hangs with "Out of diskspace" message box, if NAV is installed and directory space limit is exceeded.

NWIP client, if the 'nearest NetWare/IP server' parameter is configured and that server is down at the time of client boot, the client never finds any other NWIP resources.

Tid 10055263 When installing the Windows 95/98 client on a Notebook with Windows 95 and configuring NWIP and pure IP support, machine takes up to 8 minutes to boot. This only happens after the DCOM update from Microsoft is installed.

Some Laptops can't shutdown or reboot.

Tid 10061039 The Border Manager VPN client takes over an existing IP connection and does produce an event like an IP address change. SRVLOC.NLM needs an event in order to go into a fast phase to locate a DA. This fix provides default fast revive DA logic that begins at SRVLOC initialization and continues for up to 5 minutes at 10 second intervals. This allows sufficient time for the 9x client to load and the Border Manager client to load and initialize.

Tid 10057747 Dell "Shut down & power off" not working (anymore) with Novell clients

Changed the install protocol to not select a default protocol.

Tid 10057242 The memory of the non-paged pool is starting with about 3MB and increase up to 15MB after the Domain is up and running for two days. If the PDC have a cache load high than 35MB, login against the Domain is not possible anymore.

NT Client 4.71 (Microsoft NT Terminal Server). Gets stop error message: STOP:0x0000000A. Blue screen happens on the terminal server with Citrix Metaframe.

Tid 10060237 Non-paged pool memory leak with Novell Client 4.8 for Windows NT/2000 installed.

Second file open request process hangs with NT 4.8 Client.

Tid 10057133 On Windows NT 4.0, to unlock the workstation, you need to type in your NDS username / password.

Tid 10052116 If customer created an Alias object that points to the server that is located in a different partition and there is replica of the partition on the server that holds Alias object he gets an error that the alias object could not be found.

If you use the file browser try to copy a file, a dialog is displayed asking if you want to overwrite the file. If you choose yes, the file is overwritten and becomes a zero-length file.

Tid 10054213 MS project file fails to save when another user has it open in READ ONLY on Windows 2000.

Tid 10064374 Fixes bug when moving a dir into a dir with a subdirectory of same name as source dir.

NetWare attributes were getting stripped off when using attrib.

Tid 10060516 Made a fix to honor the disabling of the Ctrl-Alt-Del dialog box when an NT machine is locked.

Implemented ability to timeout the LoginW32 dialog so that a screensaver will kick in when in a logged out state.

User is attempting to administer default user profiles by domain (not individual workstations) and receiving the following error when the Novell Client is installed:
"The operating system was unable to load your profile. Please contact your Network Administrator (2)."

Tid 10057747 "Shut down & power off" not working (anymore) with Novell clients.

Client functionality must be determined for Win2k setting to bypass local login.

Login to a W2k Terminal Server using the Novell client takes a lot longer than logging into a NT4 server or logging in using the Microsoft client.

Tid 10058261 Fixes the problem of not honoring the group policy setting to disable the Ctrl-Alt-Del screen.

Tid 10059847 Added code to set the APPDATA environment variable on Windows 2000.

Removed hardcode "Documents and Settings" value as the name of the profile path. It now reads the value out of the registry.

Tid 10057747 Made fixes to set keyboard focus properly on the shutdown options dialog.

Fixed an inconsistency between our GINA and Microsoft GINA with regard to the way home directories are mapped in Windows 2000.

Tid 10054285 Problems with the Compatibility Mode driver on Windows 2000. They installed the CMD as required, but when logged in to the workstation, CMD does not work.

Setup certain booleans so that if PCAnywhere is installed and certain registry entries are missing that NWGina will still install correctly

Tid 10061731 When installing on W2k we can crash and leave the installation incomplete.

Print provider string not being considered duplicate when existing in a different character case (e.g. "NetWare" versus "NetWare").

Tid 10064432 Removing service in 4.8 Client on W2K causes properties button to be grayed out

NWIP communication fails.

Tid 10061575 If a file is read-only, we did not replace the file after a delayed copy.

With internal network address defined (a) failed to return the internal network number because of uninitialized status return variable, and (b) once fixed to actually return the address, found the code had been returning it in incorrect byte order.

Tid 10020210 Fix for GNS Problem

Tid 10058821 Have Disk button does not appear on selection when installing printer drivers to server.

Win2000 SP2 when you try to load drivers for the printer, it prompts for the CD.

Open Printer API call fails.

Tid 10064331 SPOOLSV access violation during installation of NDPS printer.

Listeners were not being removed

Was trying to compare a typed DN with a typeless DN stored in the registry of AWSI. Now I detect that a typeless names was given to me by AWSI and so I convert it to a typed DN before the compare.

Installation options not presented correctly with Windows 2000 domain controllers.

Tid 10058647 IPX does not get unbound from the adapter if NWIP or CMD is installed (setupw2k.cpp was also changed).

Tid 10062446 4.8 Client does not re-detect the DA once it has been marked down.

During login if NetWare login is attempted (regardless of whether successful) workstation would trap in SRVLOC.SYS.
