INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

The following installation instructions assume that the Novell Client for
Windows 95/98 v3.31 client has already been installed.

Prior to installing any update you should ensure that you have a reliable
backup.

Right-Click on 95331PT1.INF and then click on INSTALL. 

The files will then be automatically put in to the DependingFileNameRequest-Key
in the Registry. The installation will ask to reboot and during the reboot 
the new files will be installed. Until the machine is rebooted the new files 
won't be effective. 

Another method to install is to manually copy and replace the existing 
files as follows. Keep in mind that some of the files might be currently
accessed by the operating system; to work around this (which is only true if
you manually copy the files) you can rename the original file and then copy 
the new files as follows:

1. Copy the new CLIENT32.NLM into the \Novell\Client32 directory.

2. Copy the new LGNW9532.DLL into the \WINDOWS\System directory.

If you want to do an overlay (an installation of Novell client v3.31 
together with this PT1-Patch), then please follow these instructions:

1. Copy the new CLIENT32.NLM into the \IBM_ENU directory.

2. Copy the new LGNW9532.DLL into the \IBM_ENU directory.

3. Start the installation using SETUP.EXE.


ISSUE: 

The following problems have been resolved. This list is a compilation of 
recent problems which have been resolved and incorporated within the Novell 
Client 3.30 but not necessarily within 3.31:

CLIENT32.NLM

 - ArcServe cannot be installed from a Novell client because an Ack to an NDS
   request is too long. ArcServe makes an old-style IPX-only NDS referral 
   request, so we changed the VLM code within CLIENT32.NLM. More information

LGNW9532.DLL

 - Client wants to sync the Novell password even if DisablePwdCaching is
enabled
