INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

Prior to installing any update you should ensure that you have a reliable
backup.

Extracting this update will create a directory structure indicating the proper
location for the installed files:

\9532PT3\NOVELL\CLIENT32\CLIENT32.NLM
\9532PT3\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\LOGINW32.DLL
\9532PT3\9532PT3.TXT

To install the updated files on a system where the Novell Client 3.2 for
Windows 95/98 has already been installed:

1. Backup the current LOGINW32.DLL located in the \WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory.

2. Backup the current CLIENT32.NLM located in the \NOVELL\CLIENT32 directory.

3. Copy the new LOGINW32.DLL into the \WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory.

4. Copy the new CLIENT32.NLM into the \NOVELL\CLIENT32 directory.



To update the client source files for new client installations:

Copy the LOGINW32.DLL and CLIENT32.NLM from this update to the root of the
Novell Client 3.2 for Windows 95/98 installation set directory.  Do not
maintain the directory structure created during extraction of this update; the
updated files must overwrite the original versions already present in the
shipping installation set.  When SETUP.EXE is subsequently run from the updated
installation set directory, the updated files will be installed automatically.

ISSUE: 

LOGINW32.DLL
Solution 10025149 - Resolves a problem where the contextless login window is
displayed prior to the GUI login.


CLIENT32.NLM
Solution 10025609 - Problems with print servers and users being able to
authenticate using NDS objects created with the Novell Client 4.7 for Windows
NT/2000 and the Novell Client 3.2 for Windows 95/98.

Solution 10024875 - Unable to get attributes from compressed files on server;
workstation fails to close files and leaves files open.

Solution 10026782 - ARCserve Manager produces illegal operation viewing queue
job list.

Solution 10019679 - Client does not receive broadcast messages from a 4.10
server and/or experiences high utilization when retrieving broadcast messages.

Solution 10026892 - Reception of broadcast message causes unnecessary licensed
connections.

Solution 2956273 - Attempting to execute programs from the SYS:LOGIN directory
before before authenticating to NDS fails.

Solution 10050578 - Workstation object licensed connection never returns to
unlicensed when ZENworks is delivering a printer driver.

(no document) - Login works fine the first time over dial-up connection but
fails to reconnect.
