The OpenGL 1.2 Draft Specification

A PostScript version of the most recent (January, 1998) draft of the specification, which has been edited in response to comments from the December 1997 ARB meeting, is available in ftp://sgigate.sgi.com/pub/opengl/doc/jan98/glspec.ps. A description of the changes between the November and January drafts is in CHANGES.

Compressed versions fitting two logical pages per physical page (glspec2.ps) and four logical/physical (glspec4.ps) are also available, for those with good eyesight who want to save paper.

Finally, the spec is available in Adobe PDF format (glspec.pdf), if you don't have a PostScript printer or viewer. Thanks to Tom Hubina of Gibbs and Associates, and Daryl Forrest of the Naval Air Warfare Center, for doing the conversion!

Comments on this draft from ARB members, other OpenGL licensees, and other interested parties using OpenGL are welcome. Comments should be sent by email to oglspec@oddhack.engr.sgi.com, and received by January 25, 1998 in order to be incorporated into the next draft.

The next draft of the OpenGL specification will be released at the beginning of February, 1998. There will be one more comment and revision period prior to the ARB meeting in early March. The final specification is expected to be approved at that time.
