By default, the LU that is dynamically defined on the mainframe uses a name that is specified in the LUSEED parameter in the physical unit (PU) definition in the Virtual Telecommunication Access Method (VTAM). SNA Server has been updated to send the LU name in the NMVT request for DDDLUs so that the dynamically created LUs are created using the LU name that is defined in SNA Server Manager. This fix was first included in SNA Server 4.0 Service Pack 4. Host Integration Server 2000: A supported fix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem described in this article and should be applied only to systems experiencing this specific problem. This fix may receive additional testing at a later time, to further ensure product quality. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next Host Integration Server (HIS) 2000 Service Pack that contains this fix.
