HP DESKJET (MODEL) VERSION 1.1 AND UNIVERSAL PRINTER DRIVER
Problem 1: Does Not Support Hewlett-Packard's Scalable Fonts
Solution: See the workaround.
Workaround: If the customer needs support for other HP MasterType
fonts, update the driver to HP DeskJet printer driver
version 3.1.
Cause: This driver supports all internal printer fonts and
TrueType fonts provided by Windows. It does not have
the Intellifont type scaling technology built in.
HP DESKJET FAMILY, VERSION A.03.01 AND A.03.10 PROBLEM SUMMARY
Problem 1: "Page setup and Printer setup don't match" error
message displayed when printing envelopes
Solution: (Best) Update the driver.
(Optional) Update to Works for Windows 2.0a. It reads
the current page size directly from the printer driver
when you create a new document.
Workaround: Choose Page Setup & Margins, and set Page Length to
3.74" and Width to 9.5. (Note: Orientation in Printer
Setup should be set to Portrait).
Cause: Envelope length coded in the printer driver's envelope
size is set to 3.74" instead of to 4.125".
Problem 2: Only prints landscape with Windows screen and vector fonts
Solution: Update the driver.
Workaround: None
Cause: The printer driver does not support the one internal
landscape font. All landscape fonts are sent as a
bitmap.
Problem 3: Does not support the following cartridges: Global Text, Garamond Collection, Dom Casual, and Brush font cartridges
Solution: Update the driver.
Workaround: None
Cause: The driver was written before cartridges were
introduced.
Problem 4: No TrueType fonts available on font list
Solution: Update the driver.
Workaround: None
Cause: The printer driver does not support TrueType font
technology.
