If you select a language other than English and you have an 8514 video
card, the MS-DOS 6.0 or 6.2 original equipment manufacturer (OEM) Setup
program does not add the correct code page information to the AUTOEXEC.BAT
file.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in MS-DOS 6, 6.2, 6.21, and
6.22 OEM Setup. We are researching this problem and will post new
information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
