Macintosh Selectors: Invalid Decimal Digit Error (99311)

After installing LAN Manager for Macintosh Services, the server fails to
come up and this error message appears:
Invalid decimal digit in protocol.ini
CAUSE
The SELECTORS line in the [atalk2_XIF] section of the PROTOCOL.INI file
reads:
selectors = 20/2 + 4
This number is the formula for computing the values of the SELECTORS
setting, not the actual value you should enter.
RESOLUTION
An appropriate value for selectors is a single number, as in Selectors=30.
NOTE: LAN Manager for Macintosh Services supports a maximum of 50
concurrent Mac users.
