Mouse Snap-To Feature Snaps to Wrong Location (99076)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft IntelliPoint software 1.0
- Microsoft IntelliPoint software 1.1
This article was previously published under Q99076 SUMMARY
The Snap-to feature lets you configure your mouse to automatically jump to
the default button in any dialog box. In some applications, Snap-to moves
the mouse to the wrong location or does not move it at all. The method
Snap-to uses to locate the default button causes these problems.
MORE INFORMATION
Snap-to looks for default buttons that were created as button objects.
Some applications (such as Microsoft Works version 2.0 for Windows)
use owner-drawn buttons (bitmaps). With these applications, there is
no object information for Snap-to to find.
Snap-to moves to the default button's original location. Some
applications (such as Microsoft Excel for Windows, version 4.0 and
Microsoft Access for Windows, versions 1.0 and 1.1) draw the dialog
box, and then resize the box before displaying it. With these
applications, Snap-to snaps to the original location even though the
redrawn dialog box is no longer there.
