LAN Manager Doesn't Allow Hex Address for TRC (NETADDRESS) (99033)

SUMMARY

If you try to set the network address of your IBM Token Ring 16/4 adapter using the NETADDRESS entry in the [IBMTOK] section of the PROTOCOL.INI file, you must use a decimal number surrounded by quotes. Documentation states that you can use a hexadecimal string of 12 digits. If you attempt to use a hexadecimal number, the following error message appears:
