This article was previously published under Q97584 SYMPTOMS
If a predecessor task has a duration in elapsed time (1ed, 16eh, and so on) and the relationship defined between it and its successor task has a negative lag specified in working time (1d, 16h, and so on), Microsoft Project may incorrectly calculate the late finish date of the predecessor task.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, either change the duration of the predecessor task to a duration that is not in elapsed time (for example, 3d rather than 3ed), or adjust the lag to be in elapsed time (1ed rather than 1d).
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. MORE INFORMATION
