Windows NT Does Not Detect SCSI Drive ID 6 (96270)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Windows NT Server 3.1
- Microsoft Windows NT Workstation 3.1
This article was previously published under Q96270 SUMMARY
Most SCSI hard disk drives are set to ID 6 by default. Windows NT
checks for ID 1 first and then ID 0. If Windows NT cannot detect your
SCSI drive, set your SCSI drive ID to 1, 0 (preferably), or any other
ID but the one the SCSI controller is using.
