It is impossible to select the last paragraph mark in a Microsoft
Works for Windows Word Processor document.
The formatting of single-line headers and footers is controlled by the
last paragraph mark. To display paragraph marks, select Show All
Characters from the Options menu. To change the formatting of the last
paragraph mark, place the cursor next to that paragraph mark and then
select the formatting desired for it.
Also note that the last paragraph mark can adopt the formatting of the
previous paragraph if there are no characters in the last paragraph.
To prevent this from occurring, place at least one blank space to the
left of the last paragraph mark.
