No Movies or Sound from Multimedia Works Help or Tutorial (93428)

If multimedia Works for Windows doesn't access the CD-ROM in the CD-ROM
drive while running the tutorial or Help, check in the [ms works]
section of the MSWORKS.INI file. You may need to add the following line:
If the line already reads FMULTIMEDIA=0, change it to read FMULTIMEDIA=1
or else Works will not access the CD-ROM drive.

Works uses the CD-ROM for the multimedia version of Help as well as the
tutorial. If the FMULTIMEDIA line is missing or incorrect, these will
run from the files on the hard disk and the multimedia movies and the
sound for those movies will not be seen or heard.
Once you change the line in the MSWORKS.INI file, be sure to exit Works
for Windows, if it is running, and then restart Works for Windows and
start the tutorial. The multimedia version of the tutorial and Help
should then be accessible from the CD-ROM as long as the multimedia
Microsoft Works for Windows CD-ROM is in place in the CD- ROM drive.
Note: The FMULTIMEDIA line only affects version 2.0x of Works for Windows.
When installing the multimedia version of Works for Windows 3.0, a
FMULTIMEDIA=0 line is also added to the MSWORKS3.INI. However, with version
3.0, this line is ignored.
