INTRODUCTION

This article describes how to change the default settings for File Server Resource Manager (FSRM) in Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2.

MORE INFORMATION

Assume that you have a Windows Server 2003 R2-based computer on which File Server Resource Manager (FSRM) is installed. However, when you generate a report that contains more than 1000 lines, you receive the following warning message in the report:
More than the maximum number of files matched the report criteria. Only the top 1000 matches are shown
By default, the maximum number of lines that can be displayed in a report is 1000. To change the default setting to enable the display of more than 1000 lines in a report, you must modify the MAXQUOTAS property in the ReportSettings.xml file. The ReportSettings.xml file can be found in the following location:

C:\System Volume Information\SRM\Settings

Note By default, the System Volume Information folder is hidden. To gain access to this folder and to its subfolders, you must configure the system to show all hidden files and folders. For more information about how to gain access to the System Volume Information folder, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
