When you do this, the Sophos Anti-Virus Scanner Information box displays a Last Updated status of Unknown.CAUSEThis problem may occur if the following registry subkey has incorrect permissions assigned: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Sophos\SAVI\Default RESOLUTIONWarning Serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly by using Registry Editor or by using another method. These problems might require that you reinstall your operating system. Microsoft cannot guarantee that these problems can be solved. Modify the registry at your own risk. To resolve this problem, grant the Everyone group Full Control permissions to the SAVI\Default registry subkey. To do this, follow these steps: - Click Start, click Run, type regedit in the Open box, and then click OK.
- Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Sophos\SAVI\Default - On the Edit menu, click Permissions.
- In the Permissions for Default dialog box, click Everyone, click to select the Full Control check box in the Allow column, and then click OK.
- Exit Registry Editor.
