You use the dial tone database recovery procedure in Microsoft Exchange Server 2003. You use the Mailbox Merge task to update the recovered mailboxes with content that was created during the restore and recovery procedure. After you use the Mailbox Merge task, the folder permissions on the target mailbox store may be overwritten with permissions that exist on the source mailbox store.
