SYMPTOMS

After you create a software update package by using the Microsoft Systems Management Server 2003 Distributed Software Updates Wizard, the Advertise Updates dialog box does not open as expected. Additionally, no advertisement is created for the software update package. This issue occurs when the Enforce start time and maximum installation time (Advanced Client Only) check box is selected.

CAUSE

This issue occurs because the Enforce start time and maximum installation time (Advanced Client Only) check box is selected.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, click to clear the Enforce start time and maximum installation time (Advanced Client Only) check box.
