FIX: Event ID: 5754 when you use the SOAP adapter or the HTTP adapter together with a client certificate in BizTalk Server 2004 (923056)

SYMPTOMS

When you use the SOAP adapter or the HTTP adapter together with a client certificate in Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004, an Error event that resembles the following may be logged in the Application log:Event Type: Error
Event Source: BizTalk Server 2004
Event Category: BizTalk Server 2004
Event ID: 5754
Description:
The "SOAP" adapter is suspending an outbound message going to destination URL:"webservice". Details: "Client Certificate not found in store.".Note In this event, webservice is a placeholder for the Web service URL.

This problem occurs after the SOAP adapter or the HTTP adapter successfully connects to the destination URL. This problem only occurs under load. The problem can be resolved by restarting the computer. This problem does not reoccur after you restart the computer that is running BizTalk Server.

Note This problem does not occur in Microsoft BizTalk Server 2006.

RESOLUTION

Hotfix information

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Only apply it to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next BizTalk Server 2004 service pack that contains this hotfix.
