Error message when you try to select a tool in Groove: "This tool has been disabled on this computer due to device policy" (922181)

SYMPTOMS

In Groove Virtual Office 3.0, when you try to select a tool that you are not allowed to access, you receive the following error message:
This tool has been disabled on this computer due to device policy. See your administrator for more information.

If the tool is also hidden, the tab displays the name of the tool that you are not allowed to access. However, the title that is displayed in the tool's title bar may not be accurate.

When you click OK on the error message that is mentioned in the "Symptoms" section, you are moved to the last tool that you are allowed to access. Then, the workspace is updated to display the new tool name on both the tab and the title bar.

In Groove Virtual Office 3.1, the error message includes the name of the tool. In this situation, the error message resembles the following:
This tool tool_name has been disabled on this computer due to device policy. See your administrator for more information.
