Error when you click the "Forgot your password?" link in the Groove logon screen: "Component not installed" (922177)

SYMPTOMS

When you click the Forgot your password link in the Groove Virtual Office logon screen, you may receive the following error message:
Component not installed

CAUSE

This problem occurs when the following conditions are true:
  • The domain is using manual password reset.
  • The initial installation or a subsequent upgrade of Groove cannot install the components that are required to run the Reset Request tool.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, reinstall the same version of Groove over the current installation.
