This article describes the Outlook 2003 issue that is fixed in the hotfix package that is dated July 6, 2006.

Issues that the hotfix package fixes

This hotfix package fixes the following issue that was not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
  • When you run a program that uses the Outlook Object Model to capture the Inspector_Close event for an Outlook 2003 item, the event does not occur. Therefore, your program does not receive notification when the Inspector window is closed. This issue may occur when you do any of the following actions:
    • You try to delete an appointment item.
    • You try to move an appointment item to a folder.
    • You try to accept a meeting request.
