You receive an error message when you try to remove thumbnails from Digital Image Library in Digital Image Standard Edition 2006 (921171)

SYMPTOMS

When you try to remove thumbnails from Microsoft Digital Image Library in Microsoft Digital Image Standard Edition 2006, you receive an error message that states that the library may be damaged or corrupted.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, follow these steps:

Open Windows Explorer.
On the Tools menu, click Folder Options.
On the View tab, click to clear the Hide extensions for known file types check box.
Expand the Hidden files and folders folder, click Show hidden files and folders, and then click OK.
In the C:\Documents and Settings\User_Name\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\POD 4 folder, delete or rename the following files:
- Pictures.pd3
- PODArchive.log
Start Digital Image Library to create a new Pictures.pd3 file.
