INTRODUCTIONThis articles discusses how to remove the MPEG-4 Encoder (Wmvdmoe.dll) from a Microsoft Windows Embedded for Point of Service (WEPOS) 1.0 run-time image. WEPOS 1.0 no longer includes the MPEG-4 Encoder multimedia feature. Because of new licensing restrictions for this third-party multimedia encoder, you may prefer to remove the feature from WEPOS 1.0-based devices instead of paying royalties to MPEG LA. Note This article applies only to WEPOS 1.0 configurations that include the Microsoft Windows Media Player component. The Wmvdmoe.dll file was removed in WEPOS 1.1. Therefore, this file is not present in a configuration when you use WEPOS 1.1.
