Error message in Win32k.sys on a computer that is running Windows 2000 SP4: "STOP 0x1E" (921126)

SYMPTOMS
You occasionally receive a "STOP 0x1E" error message in Win32k.sys on a computer that is running Microsoft Windows 2000 Service Pack 4 (SP4).
Additionally,if you use an analysis tool such as WinDbg.exe on the resulting memory dump, the following function appears at the top of the stack:
win32k!hsurfCreateCompatibleSurface+0x6e
CAUSE
This problem may occur if a graphics driver or a printer driver returns a "-1" parameter (0xFFFFFFFF) when the driver experiences an error when the DrvCreateDeviceBitmap function is called.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
