SYMPTOMSWhen you try to shut down Microsoft Windows, you receive the following error message: End Program-WMS Idle
Ending Program. Please Wait
If you choose to end the program immediately, you will lose any unsaved data. To end the program now, click End Now
If you click End Now, Windows does not shut down. Additionally, the error message remains on the screen. CAUSEThis problem occurs if Microsoft Office Communicator 2005 is running when you try to shut down Windows. Communicator 2005 opens a MAPI session that remains open when you try to shut down Windows.RESOLUTIONHow to obtain the hotfixThis issue is fixed in the Communicator 2005 Hotfix Package that is dated July 18, 2006. - Exit all programs that are running.

Right-click the Communicator 2005 icon in the notification area.

Click Exit.
