The ADSI Edit tool does not display the attributes of a dynamic auxiliary class (920750)


The information in this article applies to:

SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario. You create a dynamic auxiliary class in Active Directory. You open the Active Directory Service Interfaces (ADSI) Edit tool to view the attributes of the dynamic auxiliary class. In this scenario, the ADSI Edit tool does not display the attributes of the dynamic auxiliary class.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, use the Ldp.exe tool in the Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Support Tools to view the attributes of the dynamic auxiliary class.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the ADSI Edit tool and in the Active Directory Application Mode (ADAM) ADSI Edit tool.
