SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario. You create a new project in Microsoft BizTalk Server 2006 or in Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004. In the BizTalk project, you use the Add Generated Items Wizard to generate a schema for Microsoft BizTalk Adapter for Web Services Enhancements (WSE) 2.0. In this scenario, you may receive an error message that resembles one of the following:

Error message 1

This schema is an invalid XSD schema and has the following error(s):
Note When you click Details, a list of errors appears.

Error message 2

Error: Type "name" cannot be found in namespace "namespace".
Additionally, you may receive an error message that resembles the following when you build the BizTalk project:
orchestration file path: error X2053: illegal name-hiding: 'Web method' hides 'namespace' on line
This error occurs when you use BizTalk Adapter for WSE 2.0 in an orchestration to consume a Web service.

RESOLUTION

Hotfix information

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Only apply it to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next BizTalk Adapter for WSE 2.0 service pack that contains this hotfix.
