Fonts are not displayed correctly when you run a 16-bit program on a computer that is running Windows Fundamentals for Legacy PCs (920313)

SYMPTOMS

When you run a 16-bit program on a computer that is running Microsoft Windows Fundamentals for Legacy PCs, you may find that the fonts are not displayed correctly.

WORKAROUND

To work around this behavior, select a different language for non-Unicode programs. Then, select the language locale that you want. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Click Start, click Run, type intl.cpl, and then click OK.
  2. Click the Advanced tab.
  3. In the Languages for non-Unicode programs box, select a different language locale, and then click Apply.
  4. In the Languages for non-Unicode programs box, click the language locale that you want, and then click OK.
  5. Restart the computer.
  6. Run the 16-bit program. Make sure that the fonts are displayed correctly.
