Works: Inserting Blank Lines When Printing Labels (92627)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Works 2.0a
- Microsoft Windows 3.0
- Microsoft Windows 3.1
This article was previously published under Q92627 SUMMARY
Version 2.0a of Microsoft Works for Windows suppresses blank lines and
database fields when printing labels. Inserting an End-of-Line mark
(SHIFT+ENTER) or a carriage return (ENTER) inserts a blank line in the
document, but when you print the labels, those blank lines are
removed. However, blank lines can be inserted into a mailing labels
document using the following method.
To Insert a Blank Line Within a Label- Select the line in the word processing document after which you want
a blank line or lines to appear.
- From the Format menu, choose Indents & Spacing.
- In the Line Spacing section of the Indents & Spacing dialog box,
enter the number of blank lines you want in the Space After
Paragraph field.
- Choose the OK button.
This places the number of blank lines you specified after the selected
line. The Space Before Paragraph setting can be used similarly, to
insert blank lines before the selected line. The blank line(s) will be
inserted in each of the printed labels.
