This article was previously published under Q92468 SUMMARY
When you view a pie chart in Microsoft Money, you may find that the
labels are overlapping. This is because of the small size of the pie
sections.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, use the appropriate method for your version of
Money.
Money 4.0, 4.0a, 5.0 and 98- While the report is displayed, click the chart button you want.
- Click Customize.
- Click More Options.
- In the "Combine all values under <n> % of total" box, type a small
number; perhaps start with 2 or 3 and gradually adjust this value as
necessary.
- When you've finished making changes, click View to display the
chart. The labels should no longer overlap.
Versions of Money Earlier Than 4.0- While the report is displayed, click the Chart button.
- Click Format.
- Click Customize Report.
- Where you see "Combine all values under (field) % of total," enter
a small number; perhaps start with 2 or 3 and gradually adjust this
value as necessary.
- When you've finished making changes, click View to display the chart.
The labels should no longer overlap.
NOTE: You may notice that there are percentages or dollar amounts
showing that are smaller than the minimum value you just specified.
This is because Money is recalculating the percent of total after
combining the smaller values. The small number represents the combined
value, not an individual one.
