A "Call Computer" request in Communicator 2005 is not established when the recipient is a Communicator Mobile user (919875)

SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario. You initiate a "Call Computer" request in Microsoft Office Communicator 2005. You send the request to a recipient who is logged on to a mobile device that is running Microsoft Office Communicator Mobile. The recipient accepts the invitation. However, the call is not established.

CAUSE

This problem may occur if your contact information includes your alias information but not a display name. For example, this problem may occur if your contact information includes the alias information johndoe@domain.com but does not include the display name John Doe.

RESOLUTION

This problem is fixed in the update for Communicator Mobile that is dated June 23, 2006. For more information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
