CAUSE

This problem occurs because of a change in the certificate that Dell uses to sign catalog-related components.

The root certificate that was issued to Dell by GlobalSign was not originally designed for use with code signing. This problem occurs because Windows 2000 does not contain this updated root certificate and cannot verify the certificate chain. Therefore, the SMS 2003 Inventory Tool for Dell Update synchronization task is unsuccessful.

To resolve this problem, update the root certificate on the Windows 2000-based computer.
