The following camera features in the Xbox Guide will only function together with the upcoming Xbox Live Vision camera:
  • Add Picture
    The Add Picture feature is located in the Messages area of the Xbox Dashboard.
  • Xbox Live Vision
    The Xbox Live Vision feature is located in the System section of the Xbox Dashboard.
The camera features that are available in the Xbox Guide are designed to work only with the upcoming Xbox Live Vision camera. If you connect any other USB camera to the Xbox 360 console, the console will not recognize the camera. Additionally, you will receive a message.
  • When you try to use the Add Picture feature in the Messages area together with a camera other than the Xbox Live Vision camera, you receive the following message: Connect your Xbox Live Vision camera to take a picture.
  • When you try to use the Xbox Live Vision feature in the System section together with a camera other than the Xbox Live Vision camera, you receive the following message: Can't detect your Xbox Live Vision camera. Make sure your camera is connected directly to the console.
