When you do this, you do not achieve the results that you want in Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 with Service Pack 2 (SP2) or in Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 with Service Pack 1 (SP1). The bandwidth usage for offline address book downloads is much lower than expected. Users may require extended periods to complete their offline address book downloads.CAUSEThis problem occurs because Exchange Server does not use the registry entry that is configured.RESOLUTIONHotfix informationA supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Only apply it to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next Exchange Server 2003 service pack that contains this hotfix.
