SYMPTOMS
When you try to start a Microsoft Windows XP guest operating system in Microsoft Virtual PC for Mac Version 7, you may receive the following error message:
Unhandled PowerPC Exception CAUSE
This problem may occur if the computer is using an Apple Power Mac G5 Processor. This problem may also occur if one or more of the following conditions are true:
- The computer is using 2 gigabytes (GB) or more of RAM.
- Four or more SDRAM slots contain RAM modules.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, install the Microsoft Virtual PC for Mac Version 7.0.2 Update. To obtain updates, converters, and other software for Microsoft products for the Macintosh, visit the following Microsoft Web site:
