Documents do not print as expected in Virtual PC for Mac Version 7 (918903)

SYMPTOMS

When you try to print a document in Microsoft Virtual PC for Mac Version 7, the document may not print as expected.

CAUSE

This issue may occur if the following conditions are true:
  • The VM Additions Printer is selected as the default printer in the Virtual PC for Mac Version 7 virtual machine.
  • The default printer in Mac OS X is offline.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, change the default printer in Mac OS X to a printer that is online. To change the default printer in Mac OS X, follow these steps:
  1. On the Apple menu, click System Preferences, click Print & Fax, and then click Printing.
  2. In the Selected printer in Print Dialog list, click the printer that you want to set as the default printer.

    Note If you want to add a printer, click Set Up Printers.
  3. Close the Print & Fax window.
