SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Commerce Server 2007, you try to roll back a successfully deployed project from the source server. When you do this, you may receive the following error message:
Could not rollback Project. No rollback information found.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because you must roll back each project at each server. The source server has no control over this process.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, use a Commerce Server Staging (CSS) command to remotely roll back the project. The command-line syntax is as follows:

CSS Rollback <Project name> /Server <Server name>

If you are prompted for additional parameters or for additional flags, run the following command to obtain more information:

CSS Help Rollback

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.

MORE INFORMATION

When a Commerce Server Staging project on the source server is successfully deployed to the endpoint server, you cannot roll back the project from the source server. However, you can roll back the project from the endpoint server. You can roll back a project from the server for which the rollback is intended.
