The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Commerce Server 2007 Enterprise Edition

SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario. You use a Terminal Server session to connect to a server. Then, you try to run a Commerce Server Staging (CSS) project in Microsoft Commerce Server 2007. In this scenario, the scripts that are specified in the project properties may not run.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, follow these steps:
  1. In Microsoft Management Console (MMC), connect to the remote computer. To do this follow these steps:
    1. At a command prompt, type mmc.exe.
    2. On the File menu, click Add/Remove Snap-in.
    3. Click Add, and then click Commerce Server Staging.
    4. Click Add, click Close, and then click OK.
    5. Locate the Commerce Server Staging tree. Right-click the Commerce Server Staging tree root, and then click Add Host.
    6. In the Specific server box, type the host name or IP address of the server that you want to administer, and then click OK.
    7. Click Projects, and then right-click the project name.
    8. Click Start.
Note You cannot add the CSS snap-in to a console if the computer does not have CSS installed.
  2. Use the CSS Scheduled Replication feature to schedule a change in how scripts are started. To do this, follow these steps:
    1. Right-click the project, and then click Properties.
    2. On the Schedule tab, click to select the Deploy automatically as content changes check box.
    3. Click Add, select a scheduling interval, and then click OK two times.
