When you export selected customizations in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0, the customizations are not saved (918291)



The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft CRM 3.0

The hotfix that is discussed in this article is not available for the Chinese version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM or for the Japanese version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

SYMPTOMS

When you export selected customizations for an entity in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0, the customizations are not saved in the exported .xml file.

CAUSE

This problem may occur with some entities, such as the Phone Call entity, when the customizations include changes to the StatusCode attribute.

RESOLUTION

Hotfix information

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Only apply it to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 service pack that contains this hotfix.

Removal information

To remove this hotfix from a computer that is running Microsoft Windows 2000, Microsoft Windows XP, or Microsoft Windows Server 2003, use the Add or Remove Programs item in Control Panel.

System administrators can use the Spunist.exe utility to remove this hotfix from a computer that is running Windows 2000, Windows XP, or Windows Server 2003. The Spuninst.exe utility is located in the following folder:
