SYMPTOMS
On a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2-based computer that has Microsoft Server for NFS installed, you receive a Stop error message that resembles the following:
STOP 0x0000007E (0xC0000005, parameter2, parameter3, parameter4)
SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED
This problem typically occurs on a multiprocessor computer on which the NFS service is experiencing a heavy load for a long time.
Notes- The results of a Stop error message may vary, depending on the computer's system failure settings.
- The parameter values may vary, depending on the computer's configuration. However, for this particular instance, the first parameter will always be C0000005.
- Not all "STOP 0x0000007E" error messages are caused by the problem that is described in this article.
