This article contains a link to a Microsoft TechNet article that explains how to move the Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM) 2005 OnePoint database to a new location.

It is not a standard maintenance procedure to move the OnePoint database without reinstalling the management servers and without reestablishing MOM console permissions. However, there are several reasons that you might have to perform this operation. These include the following:
  • To relocate a database to a clustered computer that is running Microsoft SQL Server
  • To meet volume size restrictions
  • To make performance improvements, such as to separate the database from the logs
  • To relocate a database to a fault-tolerant volume
We recommend that you move the OnePoint database only for one of these reasons.
