Learn to play

The best way to learn to play Rise of Nations: Rise of Legends is to start the campaign itself. There is a dynamic in the game hint system that explains the interface as you play the game.

In Rise of Nations: Rise of Legends, on the Main Menu, click Options and Extras, and then click How To Play. You receive the following text and access to the Game Tips interface:

• The Campaign: Within the campaign there is a "learn-as-you-play" dynamic help system which gives you hints while you're playing. Players who have never played a Real Time strategy game should definitely go there first.
• Quick Battle: Be sure to hover your mouse of everything - buildings, units, and interface elements. There should be plenty of help text to get you going.
• You can also access these Game Tips from the in-game menu (which appears when you repeatedly hit the ESC key while playing). If you'd like to preview these tips now, simply click Game Tips at the bottom of this screen.
