SYMPTOMSConsider the following scenario. You add certain types of files from Microsoft Windows Explorer to a Groove Virtual Office synchronized folder. Windows Explorer is running in
Microsoft Windows 2000. In this scenario, you may
receive the following error message: Error 0x20 - The
file is in use by another process
CAUSEThis problem occurs because Windows Explorer keeps the file
open so that you can use one of the embedded viewers to preview the file. Because the file is open in Windows Explorer, the Groove Virtual Office
synchronizer cannot transmit the file. RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, click another file or folder in
Windows Explorer to remove the focus from the file that you want to add. Groove Virtual Office will
examine the unsynchronized file periodically. As soon as another file gains the
focus in Windows Explorer, Groove Virtual Office can open the file. Then, Groove Virtual Office will transmit the file to the
other members of the Groove File Sharing Workspace.
