INTRODUCTION

The first time that you synchronize Groove Mobile Workspace for SharePoint with a Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services site, synchronization takes longer than expected. This article describes why it may take longer that you would expect for Groove Mobile Workspace for SharePoint to be synchronized.

The first time that Mobile Workspace for SharePoint is synchronized after you take a SharePoint site offline, Mobile Workspace for SharePoint must perform the following one-time operations:
  • Create the GrooveLog file.
  • Add the on behalf of Groove user column to all lists.
  • Change the Groove schema to match the changed lists.
When you synchronize Groove Mobile Workspace for SharePoint after the first time, only data that has been changed is synchronized. Therefore, Groove Mobile Workspace for SharePoint is synchronized much faster.
