Errors message when you try to use the CTRL + N keyboard shortcut to open an Internet Explorer window from a Rich Text field in the Groove Forms tool: "Microsoft JScript runtime error" (917200)

SYMPTOMS

If you press CTRL + N to try to open a Microsoft Internet Explorer window from a Rich Text field in the Groove Forms tool, you may experience one of the following symptoms:
  • You receive the following script error message:
    An exception of type 'Microsoft JScript runtime error: 'window.external.Delegate is null or not an object' was not handled.
    Note If you are using Groove Workspace 2.1d or later versions of Groove Workspace, you may receive the following error message instead:
    This Web page should only be opened from Groove. Please close the window.
  • Groove cannot intercept the operation. In this case, one of the following appears in the Internet Explorer window:
    • the Groove Form data
    • the single word "Undefined"

CAUSE

The Groove Forms tool was not intended to provide data to other programs in this manner. Internet Explorer cannot view the Form data independently.
