When you move from one version of Groove to the next minor version, you are updating the program. The following list contains examples of updating the program:

However, when you move from one version of Groove to the next major version, you are upgrading the program. The following list contains an example of upgrading the program:
  • From Groove Workspace 2.5 to Groove Virtual Office 3.0
Additionally you are upgrading the program when you move from one Groove edition to another. For example, moving from Groove Virtual Office File Sharing Edition to Groove Virtual Office Professional Edition is considered upgrading the program.
